Slowly but surely is the hardest thing to live by when decorating your own home. It takes a while to get everything you want b/c of budget, back-orders, decisions and well laziness sometimes for me. We’re making progress though. Of course my baby/guest bedroom will have it’s first guests in a week and the bed isn’t set up, there isn’t a light in there or any tables but ya know…slowly but surely we’ll get things up and running. I can now see my father in law using a flashlight to get around the room at night this weekend. Oh lord.
Here are some quick updates though in pictures of the baby/guest room: things ordered, and to be ordered. God help us and our budget :). More to come on the living room and master BR soon.
Nope, we don’t’ know what we’re having yet but I love the navy and white room. I plan to add hot pink accents if its’ a girl, and orange accents if it’s a boy.
So it’s painted! Thank you Bubba. The rug is in from Overstock.com but the room still houses some vases and crap i dont know where to store. The white curtain fabric has been ordered, and we’re doing a navy Greek key trim on the white curtains. Plan to hang my denim flag in there above the bed when that gets set up……sometime soon 🙂
Here is me in my 20 week glory- You can see the white nail head bed from Joss and Main and some fabric swatches I’m not using over there.
This is what the bed will look like but picture it with our all white duvet:
Shams for the bed:
Scored these lovely items at the Jonathan Adler warehouse sale:
Ordered and on their way:
To keep a balanced budget I went with the wallet-friendly Ikea for the nightstand. We can only do one nightstand in the room 😦
To be ordered:
Well, a crib, duh. This is on the ole registry for some loving soul to buy me :).
Dresser choices- I can’t decide! I’m leaning toward #2 though
Knobs for the nightstand and dresser- one option for neutral, one orange and another pink option 🙂
The dresser will also be the changing table. I’ll be nicely adding my best friend’s glider to the room to sit next to the dresser.
Now- to genderfy this room- here are the pink and orange doo-dads I’ve found!
then i just need an orange throw blanket
For either room, I can choose my own color combos in this print
that’s all for now friends.
